Trailer of the Day: Heima (Sigur Ros) and a veritable trilogy of related retro-trailers
Trailer of the Day
Heima
A new documentary (straight to DVD I believe) on Sigur Ros, their life on the road and coming home to Iceland. I'm imagining it's going to be a paced and (hopefully) beautiful as their music...at least the trailer would seem to indicate this... From the information I've gathered on the film it seems to be a mix of Gimme Shelter, Dig! and Koyaanisqatsi (thus I present the trilog yof Retro-trailer of the day picks). The films looks like it could be very interesting, though probably only if you like Godfrey Reggio films and/or the band themselves...anyhow I give you Heima:
Retro Trailer(s) of the Day
Gimme Shelter
The Maysle Brothers opus on the Rolling Stones, the 60's, Hell's Angels, mayhem and rock-n-roll:
DIG!
Ondi Timoner directed documentary about the twisted world of Anton and The Brian Jonestown Massacre....pretty crazy, great movie...
Koyaanisqatisi
An amazing documentary on the world, the first in a series directed by Godfrey Reggio. one of the most groundbreaking works of film art ever....a must see.
