An interview with cinematographer Roger Deakins

I recently had the privilege of interview Roger Deakins (he shot The Shawshank Redemption, Fargo, No Country for Old Men, The Assassination of Jesse James, KunDun, etc. etc.). We chatted about his history in documentary film, working with the Coen Brothers, and his new films No Country for Old Men, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, and In the Valley of Elah. I didn't really have the forum to mention it on the magazine, but he was a wonderful interview, really down to earth, interesting man. You can find the interview here .

Deakins work with the Coens has been exceptional, especially Millers Crossing.
