Scorsese and The Stones would be in theaters till mid 2008
The new Rolling Stones documentary, directed by Martin Scorsese, has been pushed back to an April 2008 release. The film's distributor, Paramount Classics, is sighting a hectic touring schdule for the band and Scorsese's other engagements as a reason 'Shine a Light' has not gotten the publicity it deserves. They are revamping the marketing campaign in an attempt to build some more buzz going into April 2008. Meh. The buzz I've heard is that it's not that spectacular. We're taking 90's-00's Rolling Stones, it's not like its the 70s anymore, they're getting old and new tunes from them are like a Kevin Costner movie, who cares?
The Documentary was shot by Scorsese and crew last year at The Beacon Theater and will feature guest appearances from Buddy Guy, Jack White of The White Stripes fame, and Christina Aguilera. And according to The IMDB Bill Clinton is involved in the film, in one capacity or another. Maybe there will be a killer sax solo, or so not so killer Hillary campaigning.

Film & TV on DVD
Still hard to top Gimme Shelter and Sympathy for the devil.
Kind of makes me think this probably isn't going to be Scorsese's best work, or even really all that exciting.
