Sean Penn Praised by Chavez
On a "fact-finiding" mission to Venezuela Sean Penn has been praised by leader Chavez. Penn is researching poverty-stricken areas of the Venezuelan capital Caracas. Chavex contacted Penn by phone admitting that he was a big fan of his Clint Eastwood directed film 'Mystic River.' Chavez took the opportunity to national televise a speech welcoming Penn to his country and praising him for his anti-war stance saying, "Welcome to Venezuela, Mr Penn. What drives him is consciousness, the search for new paths. He's one of the greatest opponents of the Iraq invasion." He also took time in his speech to read a letter from Penn to President Bush condemning his Iraq policies and calling for impeachment.
