No Bale or Routh for Justice League Picture
The upcoming 'Justice League of America' picture from Warner Bros has been the hot film of the week, with rumors circulating everywhere about who will be playing Batman and who will playing Superman. WEll yesterday moviehole and IESB have confirmed that Christian Bale and Brandon Routh will not be playing the roles of Batman and Superman in the film. this makes sense, and doesn't. But in an interview with IESB Christian Bale outlined the simplicity of the situation:
Moviehole said that director George miller has ideas who he'd like to cast, but that they may not perfectly line-up with what Warner Bros. is looking for. This begins to make more sense, and clear up why they are rushing into production when this has been on the back burner for years, when IESB reported that Justice League will likely be a motion stop picture, in the vein of 'The Polar Express' and the upcoming 'Beowulf.' Rotten tomatoes points out that this would explain the rush, as "mo-cap" films tend to remain in production far longer than average films, probably leaving it with a 2010 release.
It appears that Routh and Bale will nonetheless be continuing the franchise of Batman and Superman, repectively, for now, while the casting for their roles in 'The Justice League of Americe' continues.
