ArnoldDog Bite Dog
I recently reviewed the Hong Kong action film Dog Bite Dog for Film-Forward and thought I'd post the link to the review here. It's kind of an interesting film, beautiful cinematography, a wonderful commentary track on the DVD. The last half of the film could have been done by Edward Wood, but it's worth checking out. I'm a jerk so I'm self-promoting my (slightly edited) review here. The trailer is embedded below, the trailer doesn't do the film justice and the last 45 minutes of the films don't do the first 75 justice. But it's worth checking out if you're already waded the depths of recent film and like the sort of ultra-violent, color saturated thrillers of Japanese and South Korean cinema.
